Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday!! This weekend was a really emotional weekend for us, our baby girl graduated Pre-K, and the tears were flowing.  I wasn't the only mom at the ceremony with tears as we watched our babies up on stage in their cap and gowns, singing songs, and getting their diploma was such a wonderful moment.  I have found such a great group of women who I am lucky enough to call friends through Emmalyn being at that school and as we all drift off to different elementary schools I really hope we all stay close.  I think some of you can relate when you find your group of mom friends it's not something you want to let go of.  We support each other through the good and the bad, we attend birthday parties, babysit for each other, drink our tears away with some wine, and so much laughter! As my daughter said goodbye to her classmates and the only school she's known since she was 18 months old, I prayed that she would stay little for as long as possible.  Please do not let this little girl grow up too quickly.  I am so proud of her and I am so lucky to be her mommy.

On Friday I picked Emmalyn up from her last day of Pre K and we headed to lunch with my mama at Easton.  When we were finished eating I surprised Emmalyn with a trip to Build A Bear where Riley met us for the rest of Family FriYay! He took us to Creekside in Gahanna to ride the paddle boats.  What a blast! We all loved it. It was only $5 a boat for 30 minutes, so very cost friendly  and a ton of fun. We talked about the ducks, the water, the fish.  I think I speak for all of us when I say we can't wait to go back.

Saturday we had Emmalyn's Pre K graduation followed by a day ruined by the rain, so we ended up spending most of our time at home getting caught up on laundry and chores.

Sunday I ran in the Hoka One One Columbus 10K which was amazing! It is a beautiful course and so well organized. I hurt my ankle around mile 2.5 but I refused to give up and I finished very close to my goal. My goal was 1:00 or under and I finished in 1:07. Not ideal but with my ankle as painful as it was(is) I was happy with the results. I am ready for the half in October!!!

Enjoy our pictures! :)
