Goldfish Swim School

We attend family swim at Goldfish Swim School frequently, and we had my daughter's birthday party there this year.  The day of Emmalyn's party, was the same day that Columbus was hit with around 7 inches of snow and oh my goodness was it cold, which made having her party at Goldfish that much better. The 90 degree pool, the bright colors, and swimming really helped us get out of that winter funk for a few hours.  Although I have to admit, walking outside after was SO hard.  :-)

A birthday party at Goldfish, is any parent's dream.  I walked in with a bucket of stuff, including snacks, party favors, etc and set it down and turned around  to get Emmalyn ready to meet Sleeping Beauty and when I turned back around they had set everything up for me.  I didn't have to bring much because they covered the cupcakes, the juice boxes for the kiddos, and balloons and leis for everyone. I think the leis were for the children but I did see some of the adults running around with them on and having a blast.  :-)

The staff at Goldfish was very open to the schedule we decided on for the party, they gave suggestions but when it came right down to it, they left the flow of the party up to us, which was nice.  We were on our schedule (as long as we were out before the next party of course) and could swim as much or as little as we wanted.  I decided to let the kids swim for as long as possible, but I left all the snacks and drinks out so people could eat as they pleased.  When that (really fast) hour and a half was over, everyone dried off, and we had cupcakes and juice.

One of the coolest features, in my opinion, is the station for drying your hair.  It has a surfboard to sit on while you look into a large mirror and they provide the hair dryers.  The girls loved getting to sit there after and dry their hair, especially Emmalyn who insisted on having no help, at all. It was cute to watch.

Seriously, such a beautiful facility

This was the best party we have thrown for our little princess, granted she's only four, but I feel like this will be hard to beat next year.  I highly recommend Goldfish Swim School for absolutely anything, birthday party, swim lessons, family swim.  It is our favorite place to swim in Columbus.  The owner is a joy to work with, the staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable, the facility is clean.  I'm so glad they are here! I'm even happier that they are on my side of town :-)

Of course, I had to get a shot of what it looked like outside and inside. It was so cold out there.

I cannot finish this post without thanking the three wonderful ladies who helped make this party so great. The two in orange were lifeguards and the one in the middle was the party coordinator.    They all did a fabulous job at keeping our kiddos safe making sure everyone was having fun.  It was perfect.
